Corrosion Inhibitor for
Closed Cooling Water Systems
Geopure® 4010 is a high-performance corrosion inhibitor
specifically designed for closed loop cooling and chilled
water systems. It provides robust protection to mild
steel, copper, and copper alloys by forming a stable
protective layer on metal surfaces, minimizing oxidation
and pitting.
Ideal for systems with low make-up water, Geopure® 4010
ensures long-term reliability and reduces maintenance by
preventing corrosion-related leaks and equipment
degradation. It is suitable for HVAC chilled water loops,
industrial closed cooling circuits, and other closed
recirculating water systems requiring efficient,
low-maintenance corrosion control.

- pH @ 25ºC:9.5 ~ 10.0
Physical Properties:
- Effective Corrosion Protection: Inhibits corrosion in ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
- Closed Loop Optimized: Designed for low make-up water and oxygen-limited systems.
- Protective Film Formation: Provides a durable barrier on metal surfaces to prevent pitting.
- Copper Alloy Safety: Protects copper, brass, and associated alloys from galvanic corrosion.
- Operational Reliability: Maintains long-term protection with minimal monitoring.
- Energy & System Efficiency: Reduces corrosion-related fouling and leak risks, improving heat transfer.
- Versatile Application: Suitable for HVAC chilled water loops, industrial closed cooling systems, and process cooling applications.
Geopure 4010 should be dosed proportional to the
system holdup up on intermittent basis within the
system water. Normally we recommend 2.0 ~ 3.0 Kg per
1000 Ltr. water.
Corrosion protection is provided by a protective
“barrier” film that is formed by a chemical reaction
between molybdate and iron. Therefore, initially the
iron surface must be reasonably clean and free of
corrosion products.
Geopure 4010 should be fed neat as required via pot
feeder, injection pump or chemical proportioning
pumps. Feed rates will vary depending on system type
and conditions.
Typically, a molybdenum concentration of 100-200 ppm
Mo is maintained in the system, and the pH & TDS
levels are maintained within their respective ranges
of 8.5-9.0 & 2500 µ/cm
